Following the success of “Rakkas”, which reached No. 2 in the Turkish radio charts, and “Ay Que Me Quema”, which reached No. 19 on Shazam Turkey, Ben Hims and Baris Turna join forces with Romanian singer AMELISSA for “Mahalle”. The new single blends Afro house and dance-pop with Turkish musical elements and a story about searching for a lost love.

At the heart of “Mahalle” is the feeling of someone who has disappeared from your life yet still feels close. The song follows the search for that person through the streets, while the repeated call to return to the neighbourhood evokes belonging, memories and a connection to home. Turkish and English intertwine naturally in the lyrics, preserving the song’s distinctive sound while opening its story to an international audience.

AMELISSA’s powerful vocal presence carries the melody through the energetic production of Ben Hims and Baris Turna. Darbuka solos, playful violin melodies and rich percussion complement the Afro house rhythm, bringing traditional Turkish sounds into a contemporary club setting.

“Mahalle” builds on the creative chemistry between the two producers, with AMELISSA’s voice adding a new dimension to their shared sound. Through memorable melodies and expressive instrumentation, the song transforms longing for a lost love into an energetic dance track that inspires movement while evoking a sense of coming home.
