New Bulgarian University has signed a framework agreement for academic and educational partnership with MUZE – a leading organization for artistic development and strategic management in the music and entertainment industry.
The partnership aims to develop joint educational, research, and practical initiatives focused on the professional growth of young talents, entrepreneurs, and specialists in the cultural and creative industries. Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate on the development and implementation of certification courses, academies, practical trainings, mentorship programs, public lectures, music labs, and other educational formats aligned with the contemporary needs of the industry.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elena Spasova, Director of the School of Professional and Continuing Education, NBU:
“New Bulgarian University has traditionally developed partnerships with business as part of its strategy for modern and practice-oriented education. In the field of professional and continuing education, this connection is especially important, as it ensures a direct link between knowledge, skills, and real professional requirements. We believe that the partnership with MUZE will contribute precisely in this direction and will create a sustainable model for training specialists who are well-adapted to the contemporary cultural and business environment.”
The framework agreement also serves as a foundation for future joint projects and for expanding NBU’s international professional network in the field of music business and cultural management.
Marko Anastasov, CEO of MUZE:
“On behalf of MUZE and our team, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for the trust and excellent collaboration that led to the signing of this strategic partnership between our two organizations. It is an honor for us to work with an institution like New Bulgarian University, which consistently invests in innovation, practical education, and the development of young talents in the creative industries. The joint course in ‘Artist Management’ is an important step toward building a new generation of professionals prepared for the real dynamics of the music business.
We believe this partnership will bring long-term value both to students and to the entire music and cultural environment in Bulgaria, and we look forward to our future joint projects.”
As a first initiative within the partnership between New Bulgarian University and MUZE, the professional course “Artist Management” is being launched, organized by the School of Professional and Continuing Education at NBU.
The training is designed as a meeting point between the academic environment and real-world practice in the music and entertainment industry. It is delivered within the academic and certification framework of New Bulgarian University, with MUZE contributing expertise and direct professional insight from the field.
The course is aimed at anyone interested in managing and developing artistic careers and understanding how the modern music business functions beyond the stage – from working with artists and teams, through partnerships and planning, to strategic thinking and sustainable development of creative projects. The focus is on real examples, practical perspectives, and shared professional experience from active industry experts.
The program is conducted in a hybrid format – both in-person and online – creating opportunities for direct interaction between participants and industry professionals. Graduates of the course receive a certificate from New Bulgarian University.
